In
a dual battery configuration, the source (alternator)
is charging both the MAIN and AUXILIARY batteries.
In the above diagram, think of the MAIN battery as
your primary starting battery, to be used for crucial
equipment like EFI, starter, glow plugs, etc. AUXILIARY
will be used for accessories like camping lights,
refrigerators, freezers, computers, and inverters.
The AUXILIARY battery and its connected loads may
discharge the battery, however the MAIN battery will
not be depleted. However, if the MAIN battery is discharged,
it will also pull current from the AUXILIARY battery.
This configuration is helpful in cold environments
as the AUXILIARY battery automatically assists the
MAIN battery when cranking the engine.
We
demand and require sub-100 micro-ohm performance which
means that the typical voltage drop at full continuous
current is 30 mV, or thirty thousandths of a volt
or less....it essentially becomes transparent in the
electrical system. No other isolator on the planet
comes close.
Single
Rectifiers are rated at the following continuous current
ratings:
SR- 100, 150, 200, 250, and 300 amps. For current
levels less than 100 amps, or exceeding 300 amps,
